I have great admiration for my Spiritual teachers coming up! One of the most impactful lessons they taught me is the importance of becoming proactive in all aspects of life. This is a cornerstone of Kabbalistic practice.
For many, feeling connected to source isn’t something that comes naturally. The image of a monk meditating alone on a mountaintop comes to mind—someone who has left the world behind to seek divine connection. But like anyone who’s gone through a spiritual transformation (such as a 12-step recovery program), eventually you have to descend the mountain and walk amongst society once more. The key is to return to the mountaintop regularly—to refine, re-center, and reconnect with the Divine.
Sometimes, though, you don’t have the luxury of retreat. In those moments, you must bring the Divine with you. Fortunately, we are already equipped with the tools to do exactly that. Through intentional action and the spiritual technologies of Kabbalah, we can carry joy and connection wherever we go.
