Being in alignment on a daily basis!

...Where the expansion of the vessel takes place.

Adding New Layers to the Conversation

When we talk about being in alignment on a daily basis, we first need to understand what alignment means from a human perspective. At its core, alignment is about “working toward the same goal.” One way to expand this idea is through a word that has recently entered American English: compersion.

Compersion is the feeling of genuine happiness for someone else’s success or joy—not just pretending to be happy, but truly feeling it. When someone shares good news like “I got the job!” or “I met someone new,” we often feel pleased for them. But our response changes when that good news becomes emotionally complicated—for example, hearing that an ex has found a new partner. Can you sincerely feel happy for them? It is admittedly hard for anyone. It also begs the question “what does that kind of emotional maturity look like”? Ask yourself.

This is where spiritual growth happens—where the expansion of the vessel takes place. It requires stretching ones emotional capacity beyond ego and envy to embrace the joy of others, even when it’s hard…Especially when its hard.
